This sermon message was preached by Evangelist Ebenezer Udofia at Living Faith Apostolic Ministries. It has been adapted from the sermon portion of the video transcript into a detailed blog format for Bible study, Christian discipleship, local ministry outreach, and Google Ad Grants search visibility.
This sermon challenged believers to stop living as if the power of God is far away. The message was rooted in the truth of 1 John 4:4: “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” For the Holy Ghost filled believer, Christ does not merely visit from a distance. By His Spirit, He dwells in us.
The sermon exposed one of the enemy’s most common lies: “You are just one person. There is nothing you can do.” But Scripture gives a different answer. If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, that same Spirit can quicken your mortal body. The Spirit of God is not only for pastors, prophets, or special leaders. The Holy Ghost is given to believers so they can walk in authority, faith, holiness, prayer, and service.
The message also emphasized that Christians must not be ignorant of Satan’s devices. The enemy works through deception, fear, confusion, jealousy, envy, spiritual laziness, and distorted thinking. He tries to twist the Word of God and make believers doubt what God has already given them. But believers do not have to wait for an emotional atmosphere before obeying God. The power of God is not created by volume, music, title, or excitement. The power of God is present because Christ lives in His people.
This is why spiritual growth matters. Many Christians mature in outward religious habits but remain underdeveloped in the spirit realm. The sermon called the church to desire deeper spiritual awareness, stronger prayer, and greater sensitivity to the voice of God. Christian maturity is not only measured by how long someone has been saved. It is measured by growth in obedience, discernment, faith, humility, and spiritual responsibility.
The believer must learn to stir up the gift of God. Paul told Timothy to stir up what had been imparted to him. That same principle applies today. Do not let fear, disappointment, routine, or passivity bury what God placed within you. Stir up prayer. Stir up faith. Stir up the Word. Stir up the gift. Stir up obedience.
For those looking for a sermon on spiritual warfare, Apostolic teaching, Holy Ghost power, deliverance, or Christian growth, this message gives a biblical foundation: the believer’s authority is not based on personality. It is based on Christ in us.
Living Faith Apostolic Ministries in Raleigh, NC teaches that believers must be equipped to live by faith, pray with confidence, and walk in the power of the Holy Ghost. We believe the Word of God is active, the Spirit of God is present, and Jesus Christ is still working through His church.
Do not accept the lie that you are powerless. Do not believe the lie that the power of God is only for a few people. If you have received the Holy Ghost, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. Stand on the Word. Resist the enemy. Walk in faith. Grow in the spirit.
Greater is He that is in you.
