Wilt Thou Be Made Whole? Jesus Cares About the Heart, Mind, and Spirit

This sermon message was preached by Evangelist Ebenezer Udofia at Living Faith Apostolic Ministries. It has been adapted from the sermon portion of the video transcript into a detailed blog format for Bible study, Christian discipleship, local ministry outreach, and Google Ad Grants search visibility.

When Jesus asked, “Wilt thou be made whole?” He was not only speaking to one part of a person’s life. Wholeness reaches the body, heart, mind, spirit, family, emotions, habits, and hidden places of pain. This sermon and prayer focused on the need for God to touch the whole person.

The message prayed for more than finances and physical health. It reached into heartache, lingering pain, deep hurt, memories, mental battles, hopelessness, depression, thoughts of giving up, and the spiritual attacks that come against the mind. The prayer did not deny these struggles. It brought them before God.

This is an important message for the church today. Sometimes believers feel pressure to act as if emotional pain, mental distress, or inner wounds do not exist. But Scripture cares about the mind. Philippians 4:8 teaches believers to think on what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. If God gives instruction concerning our thoughts, then He cares about what happens in our minds.

The sermon prayed against thoughts that lead people away from hope, faith, family, marriage, purpose, calling, and life. It spoke life over the mind and asked God to help believers think on the things that align with His Word. This kind of prayer is deeply needed for people searching for Christian help with anxiety, depression, hopelessness, spiritual warfare in the mind, or emotional healing.

The question “Wilt thou be made whole?” is not a shallow religious phrase. It is an invitation from Jesus to stop surviving in brokenness and receive His touch. Some wounds are visible. Others are buried deep in the heart. Some people carry pain from those closest to them. Some carry shame, rejection, grief, disappointment, or fear. But Jesus is able to make whole.

Wholeness does not mean pretending nothing happened. It means bringing everything to the Lord. It means asking God to touch the heart that still hurts. It means letting Him renew the mind that has been under attack. It means allowing His Word to reshape thought patterns. It means receiving prayer, community, Scripture, and the presence of God.

Living Faith Apostolic Ministries in Raleigh, NC believes in prayer for the whole person. Salvation, healing, deliverance, restoration, and discipleship all matter. We believe Jesus Christ cares about the soul, body, mind, heart, and spirit.

If you are carrying pain, do not hide from God. If your mind has been under attack, do not suffer in silence. If your heart needs healing, bring it to Jesus. He already knows the wound. He already sees the struggle. He is able to restore.

The invitation remains: wilt thou be made whole?

Come to Jesus with the whole matter. Let Him touch what needs to be touched. Let Him heal what needs to be healed. Let Him renew what needs to be renewed. Let Him make you whole.
